[ A LETTER FROM COLLEEN ]

Every town needs a room where the kettle's always on and the welcome's always warm. For Newry, we'd like to think that's The Victoria.

I've pulled pints here, cleared tables, sung badly at Christmas and cried at more than one wake. This place has held the whole of life, and it's still standing — because of the people who walk through the door.

We don't try to be fancy. We try to be good: good drink, honest food, music that gets the room going, and a function room where your family's big nights can feel like home.

Pull up a stool. You're very welcome.

— Colleen

[ TIMELINE ]

How we got here.

[ 01 · THE BEGINNING ]

Doors opened as a corner house — a few stools, a coal fire and the best-kept Guinness in town.

[ 02 · THE RENOVATION ]

The function room was restored upstairs, the bar rebuilt in dark oak, the kitchen given a proper home.

[ 03 · TODAY ]

A family-run local with live music, quiz nights, a Sunday roast and a room for every celebration.

[ THE TEAM ]

The faces behind the bar.

Colleen

[ OWNER · HOST ]

Colleen

Runs the place the way her mother ran a kitchen — nobody leaves hungry, nobody leaves a stranger.

Declan

[ HEAD BARMAN ]

Declan

Twenty years behind Newry bars. Pours a pint you'd write home about.

Aoife

[ EVENTS & FUNCTIONS ]

Aoife

Plans christenings, fortieths and retirements like military operations, with better music.

Ciarán

[ HEAD CHEF ]

Ciarán

Local beef, local fish, and a stew recipe he won't share with anyone.

[ OUR COMMUNITY ]

More than a pub.

We host the GAA club's fundraisers, the darts league, charity quizzes and the odd book club that's mostly wine. When Newry needs a room, we're glad to give it one.
